I’m glad you’re here. I’m Mickelle, the soul behind Lost Upon A Time. My husband, aka Handsome Prince, and I live in mid-western farm country with our dogs, cats, and prolific many dust bunnies.
I’m an incurable creative, with a big imagination and a teeny budget. I strive to create beauty with what I have or can find. I love trash to treasure stories, and thrive on trying new things.
My faith in Jesus is the basis for everything I do. You might as well know that up front, because I write a lot about faith here. Following Him influences how I see the world; how I relate to people. It’s why I create. It is the very purpose I live for.
All this is well and good, but there’s another big player in my life. Like a growing number of people, I deal with autoimmune disease. Several, actually. The effects of my health are pervasive; often in disappointing ways. Striving to live fully and with purpose gets really complicated when chronic illness enters the picture. Because of this, I’m always learning new ways to manage my home, my body, and to live with open hands.
Lost Upon A Time is where faith, creativity and struggle intersect. Here on the blog, I share what I pick up along the journey. In the Lost Upon A Time shop, I stock the goods I make from salvaged wood and rescued materials.
I hope to see you here often, friend. Be sure to sign up for e-mail updates, so you don’t miss a thing. And drop me a line while you’re at it. I’d love to hear from you.
